This product is great otherwise but the last three times I’ve ordered it’s been a waste of money. Busted cans that don’t spray and leak - or expired tallow. from 900 reviewsI most recently used Lard to make homemade sopapillas. Using it in place of vegetable shortening in the dough made for silky, pillowy sopapillas. Frying them in Lard created the perfect, golden color. Utter perfection inside and out.
Well, I’ve not used it yet for scratch noodles or pies. I’m disabled can’t easily cook like normal folks! I’m sure the products are thousand times better than Criso which is exactly why I bought this! Plus I was able to get smaller amounts so it doesn’t go rancid before I use it. AND my grandpa used to raise Black Angus so I’m sure my grandma use beef tallow!
I got it in great condition and fast! I’ve not cooked with it yet but looking forward to the day I can afford a ribeye! For now this is for pies on rare occasions but mainly for scartch homemade noodles like y mom and grandma made! Thank you
I used grape seed oil on my steaks when grilling. The tallow pray is easier to use, gives a great sear plus adds flavor. Never even knew this existed. If you haven’t used it yet… what’s stopping you?!
What do I mean. I’ve long wanted something that my ancestors had used. Not the hydrogenated GMO guar gummy & lab created garbage that’s been slowly killing off we humans. I’ve not tried anything as yet, as I’m semi disabled and cooking is extremely difficult for me! I wanted lard or tallow not sure of the difference to make my grandma’s scratch homemade noodles and beef. Beef ‘n noodles we all love. Plus pie crust, dumplings etc. I no longer trusted crisco, plus I wanted a smaller portion as I’ve thrown out so many large tubs of, shall I say lab created shortening.
Now, the next problem will be, when I can afford chuck roast, never mind Prime rib! I spent a good portion of my young life working in restaurants I’m spoiled, Prime Rib is like granny’s beef ‘n noodles! Eat til it came out my ears! Now I can barely afford ground beef. BTW I’m from the mid-west, Indiana came to Chicago as a kid!

This brand is the Best I have tried. Love all the products. We use the spray on our grill and my husband loves it. I also use the tallow to make my lotion and by far the Best for that. 😊
